Rodin rose to prominence under the monicker 2econd Class Citizen, releasing several acclaimed albums. Notable supporters of his hypnotic beats including DJ Format and Strictly Kev.
2018 saw the emergence of a new project, with the same ear for a sample but a greater focus on electronic musical aspects. The debut album from Rodin, real-name Aaron Thomason, has caused no less of a stir among the beats and downtempo community. Asha was crafted from his collection of ultra sought-after Bollywood records, and drew earnest praise from the likes of DJ Nu-Mark and Strictly Kev.
Here, the record arrives remixed by a slew of unique and talented beatsmiths, all with breathtakingly different interpretations of the source material.
It would do the music a disservice to throw genres around at this point. Simply step into a listening experience that will captivate and delight.
